1. Minimum education qualification:

BSc in IT can either be done by completing 12th standard or by completing post S.S.C diploma or post-H.S.C diploma.

If you have completed H.S.C and are from the following streams:

a) Science:

2. Mandatory Eligibility criteria:

These are required standard for all applicants and have been operational since 16th July 2007 and have not been updated till today’s date.

a) Eligibility for H.S.C students:

  1. Must have passed S.S.C and H.S.C from approved university or board.
    List of deemed universities.
    List of deemed Educational Boards.
  2. Mathematics or Statistics as an educational module subject in twelfth Standard.
  3. Passed with at least total imprints in twelfth Standard as expressed below:

a) Open Category (General):

Aggregate marks must be more than or equivalent to 45%

b) Reserved Categories:

Aggregate marks must be more than or equivalent to 40%

Note: Some colleges may keep a minimum 50% marks in mathematics or any other eligibility criterion.

b) Eligibility for Diploma students:

Following are the requirements for candidates who have completed 3 years of diploma after S.S.C.

    1. Candidate must have passed 3 years of diploma successfully from a recognized board or university. State wise list of the recognized institute.
    2. Diploma candidate must have also secured minimum aggregate marks as stated below.

a) Open Category (General):

Aggregate marks must be more than or equivalent to 45%

b) Reserved Categories:

Aggregate marks must be more than or equivalent to 40%

Note: Diploma candidate will directly get enrolled in the second year of Bsc IT course. The same conditions are relevant for post H.S.C. diploma candidates. 3. Admission Metrics:

Unlike the other courses, Bsc-IT candidates aren’t selected based on aggregate marks rather selection is done on the basis of marks secured in Mathematics. Each college has a different number of available seats for the course and has different cut off marks. Cut off marks mainly depend upon what is current competition for the course and may vary each year.

Note: There is no additional entrance test like CET to get admission in BScIT.
